About Mark

Mark Schweikert has worked in the mental health field for over 23 years in the Dayton and Springfield, Ohio, area. He holds a supervisory license in mental health and addiction counseling.  Mark enjoys working with adolescents and adults.

He has extensive experience addressing mental health problems, addiction, co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis), relationship issues, mood disorders, anxiety, stress management, autism spectrum disorder, employee assistance needs, crisis management, adjustment challenges, and geriatric issues.  His experience includes working in an inpatient adult and adolescent unit, an intensive outpatient alcohol program, and private practice.

Mark considers himself a teacher and mentor, guiding clients toward their full potential. He utilizes multidisciplinary approaches, focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy to address client concerns.  His Rogerian approach helps clients feel comfortable as they make positive changes in their lives.
